Lee Leffler and Michael Frackerton are two music veterans from the city of Boston, USA. Since they expanded beyond instrumentals and added their own unique vocals to their full-length album in the summer of 2021, the underground duo have been getting attention from critics, bloggers and playlisters alike.
Now, after a long string of 2023 releases which include Unfamiliar Streets, All Time Is Borrowed Time, Cold Hard Dirt, Eggshell Minefield, Opposite Poles, and Eustace, the duo returns in “Dimmer Switch”, a song that continues with the band’s unique psychedelic vision and that transcends popular opinion of what this type of music can be.
Experimental, daring, and fun, this track takes us for a crazy ride across uplifting rhythms and semi-chaotic melodies. A laid-back drum & bass groove sets the foundation for the eccentric lyricism and the unconventional guitar playing, as it is truly something that tickles the ear.
