Indie folk group Gunslingers is back to start off the year with some new music. Last year they debuted with a folk-rock infused EP “Green Acres Motel” which offered a promising taste of the band’s musical world. Now they’re back to deliver a beautiful tale of love beyond all – the one between parent and child. This is “Shadows”!

Inspired by a letter John Steinbeck sent to his son at boarding school, “Shadows” is full of tenderness, the sort that aims to comfort and give strength to overcome any troubles. The sincere message of unconditional love is beautifully transcribed by the voice of Gunslingers, Lou Heneise, and it’s surrounded by airy acoustic sound similar to nourishing springtime. “Shadows” holds a caring and inviting tone to it – no matter what troubles happen, this song reminds of the safe haven in the arms of a loving dad.

Gunslingers have started 2024 off with the sweetest sound. What was once Lou Heneise making music solo is now her writing music along with great musician friends that joined to form the band. Lou loves performing her and the band’s music and this year already sees 60 booked performances to be played in the US, including the first festival gig in May, the Moonrunners Fest in Chicago. When you go, you’ll definitely hear “Shadows” played live!
