The American duo is back with a brand-new single, and this time they return to their Folk Rock roots. Included in the Never Give Up album, “Floating Away” portrays the heartwarming reunion of Gary Dranow with life-long friend Harold Deblanc in a bagel shop. Reunited after a decade apart, and one year later after Harold had lost his wife to suicide, both friends sat down and shared their stories, finding solace and healing through this reunion.
The track presents acoustic guitar strums backed by a solid drum beat and Gary’s emotive vocals. Lyrics encapsulate the bittersweet nature of their meeting, painting a picture of friendship, loss, and resilience. It’s a testament to the power of reconnection and the healing potential of music.
