TONYC is the German music producer and DJ Jake Benner. In this project he creates everything from House, Trap, Drum & Bass, or literally anything in between. We actually had him on the blog in 2022 with “Trauma”, a single that reached more than 100k streams on Spotify! His wide range of genre combination creates a style that is unique, innovative and fresh.
Influenced by artists like Skrillex, Linkin Park, Camo & Krooked, Disclosure, Pendulum, Flume, TroyBoi, Deadmau5 and Robin Schulz to name just a few, TONYC can hardly be defined with a single musical genre as he loves to experiment with all kinds of music, especially on the bass heavier side of music.
“Balling” is a high-energy track with huge synths that come at you with its gnarly saw waves. Deep kicks, tight bass, and high-speed drumming are the foundation of the track, topped with a carefully crafted selection of synths and vocal samples.
A party/festival single for sure, as it makes you bounce from the get go. With sudden stops here and there, the song feels very dynamic with everything going on inside. TONYC began his music career as an electronic music producer and DJ in 2012, which is no wonder why his sound is so pristine and well crafted.
