The energy that drives the party and us came from Earth and will return to Earth.

Being fully aware of the disconnection between humankind and nature, De Antiquis Et Novis aka German produces Matthias Schorer returns to bring the listeners’ attention back to the foundation of life around us. Instead of scolding or writing something very distraught about the situation, the artist has taken a different approach to it, putting his skills of writing evocative electronica fully in play. And the result is honestly captivating, to say the very least.
While “celestial” would be the first word to describe the sound of “Earth”, there’s definitely a link to the nurturing ground in the drumming, rattling percussion with hints of tribal beats, as well as in the similarly vivid vocals that seem to carry the glory and happiness that comes from being united with Earth. Those vocals sing in the language of Swahili and speak out the core of what the song is about – how humankind has kept on damaging the Earth.
Inspired by how humans always take, but never give back and how it has caused the Earth to sustain a wound in its heart that’s yet to heal, the artist seeks to inspire the listeners to rethink how we view the planet we live in. It’s not too late yet to turn around and start nurturing it, there’s still time to give out due respect for what the Earth has been giving us.
This song will be part of De Antiquis Et Novis’ upcoming full-length that concentrates on the elements of nature. Like the single, the album takes inspiration of how humans have been unwise in their way of living on this planet, and it’s looking at the fact through the facets of different elements nature is built up of.
