ALL ALBUMS/EPS SUBMITTED AND
DISCOVERED VIA MUSOSOUP
1.- The Norwegian artist and musician Robert Vendetta strikes back with the release of his fourth album, Vendetta Del Disco, an album that pushes his signature sound further than ever before in an absolute joyride. The album was preceded by successful singles “Fool“, “Vacation” and “Here and Now” that already gave us a taste in what to expect, and still the full album manages to surpass the expectations.
2.- Netherlands-based producer duo Dizzy Panda released a brand-new album called Pentapolis, recorded in collaboration with the indie rock band The Perics. The artists joined forces to create something that feels truly like a collaboration, bringing out the best of each musician, really ascending each other to a higher plane.
3.- The latest installment of the DCxPC Live vinyl series has me fired up today! I’m still reeling from being shook to the core by the arse kicking delivered via Rebelmatic Live at Fuzz Fest just a couple weeks ago. The label (DCxPC) has volume 26 coming out today (Monday, March 11th) and it’s comprised of two ultra-kick-ass Thrash-Punk bands from Florida: Except You and Trashworld.
4.- Jeremy LLoyd-Styles and his debut EP “2k80410”. In his own words: “I attempted to approach a song like a painter. I wanted to, say, paint in all blue and see what I could make given the skills I have.
I recorded the 3rd song on this, was pretty happy with it and shared it with my wife. She said, “this sounds cool, you should make an album or something” so I listened and wrote two more songs specifically for her. Love songs if you will for her on our ten-year anniversary. This is a gift to her. To say I love you, and to listen to her wise advice to just make stuff I want to make and not worry about what others think.”
5.- Issara‘s Debut Album “222”: A Modern Retro Tale of Empowerment and Originality. Takes listeners on an emotive exploration of female empowerment and camaraderie. From resilient tales of love to moments of profound introspection, the album offers a raw and honest glimpse into Issara’s journey of self-discovery and growth.
6.- Diving headfirst into the psychedelic, garage rock frenzy, Screen Frogs delivers sonic pleasures from multiple genres, old and new. Formed by brothers Will and Mike Bacon in 2018 and later joined by Scott Minnich in 2019 and Preston Lewis in 2022, the group got their start in a garage north of Seattle, WA. This is their brand-new album “Subterranean Wreckage Amidst Stolen Hues“.
7.- Dave Hawley‘s latest release “Open Till Late” is a ten-track collaborative effort featuring multi-instrumentalist Dave Hawley (guitar, keys, bass, percussion, etc), Eric Buratty- drums, James Bjork (saxophone) & Jen Hawley (trumpet, vocals, harmonica). The blended instrumental genres include jazz, post-rock, neo-classical, blues, and fusion. The single word song titles function as tone painting inspiration for each track. The album is designed to be listened to from beginning to end (33 minutes).
8.- Modern Guilt and their new EP “We’ll Always Have Vegas” is a series of snapshot moments across a binge, tales from the feast, and how we remember our lives and the people we encounter. It’s the end of the night, a fixation with happiness through the lens and stories of an individual in Las Vegas. A pilgrimage to false joy, in search of feeling.
9.- “The Spontanues Splendid” is a testament to Washing Machina‘s musical prowess, offering listeners a captivating journey through a sonic landscape rich in guitar work and driven by powerful pop melodies. With this album, the band showcases their versatility, experimenting with various musical elements while maintaining an undeniable coherence throughout the tracks.
