ALL ALBUMS/EPS SUBMITTED AND
DISCOVERED VIA MUSOSOUP
1.- POLISH BAND WHEN IN MAINE RELEASED A DEBUT ALBUM RECENTLY. OR DID THEY? FOUNDED BY TWO MEMBERS OF THE NOW DISBANDED GROUP SNAKEDOCTORS, THEY WOULD TELL YOU THAT WHAT IS NOW CONSIDERED THE FINAL SNAKEDOCTORS ALBUM, WAS REALLY JUST A PRECURSOR FOR THINGS TO COME ON WHAT IS TECHNICALLY WHEN IN MAINE’S DEBUT ALBUM. You can keep reading our review here.
2.- GERMAN ARTIST KATE PENDING JUST RELEASED HER DEBUT ALBUM PIGMENTED REALITY, AFTER THE UNVEILING OF A FEW SINGLES SINCE LAST YEAR. IT’S A BOLD TAKE ON ELECTRONIC MUSIC, A WILD JOYRIDE INTO HER WORLD AND UNIQUE VISION. ENTIRELY PRODUCED BY KATE HERSELF IN HER HOME STUDIO, THE PROJECT STRETCHES ITSELF FOR THIRTEEN ORIGINAL TRACKS THAT RUN INTO THE MOST UNUSUAL AND UNHEARD OF DIRECTIONS, CREATING AN EXPERIENCE THAT FEELS UNLIKE ANY OTHER. You can keep reading our review here.
3.- DEEP DIVE SPECIES, THE NY-BASED VIRTUAL BAND HAS JUST REVEALED THEIR NEW FULL-LENGTH RELEASE “HABITAT”. FOLLOWING THE DEBUT RELEASE “AQUAPHILIA”, THE NEW RECORD IS A CONSIDERABLY CALMER, MORE MATURE AND MORE INTROSPECTIVE COLLECTION OF MUSIC MEANT TO BE EXPERIENCED AS ONE CONTINUOUS JOURNEY. SUBMERGE INTO THE DEEP UNDISCOVERED REALMS AND LET YOURSELF BE SURPRISED! You can keep reading our review here.
4.- Winchester 7 & The Runners and their brand new album The Waking Giant tackles an imagined yet poignant realm in which a savvy tech investor seeks to create a wholly AI-driven immersive world for the retired, the wealthy, and the doomsday preppers alike.
5.- Chicago-based multi-instrumentalist/songwriter/engineer Che Arthur has been a member of regarded post-hardcore groups Pink Avalanche and Atombombpocketknife, as well as his electronic projects Ha Subliminal and Professor Downfall.
“For What Now Lies Fallow” is his fourth solo album, and his first since 2010’s “Like Revenge”. The album is at once the chronicle of Arthur’s battles with multiple internal demons – health issues, isolation, guilt, heartbreak, a sense of having “aged out” of belonging – and a intentionally crafted weapon with which to fight those demons.
6.- Boston songwriter Leah Callahan‘s new album Curious Tourist, released on April 29, 2024, takes its cues from an indie smorgasbord of Britpop heroes including: Blur (“Super”), the glimmery shoegaze of Lush (“Nowhere Girl”), and dance pop of Bronski Beat (“Ordinary Face”), all while keeping a firm grip on Callahan’s post-punk roots (“No One”).
7.- Stonnii debut EP “Better” in her own words: “I made this EP between 2020 and 2021, during a music course that I took after a mental-breakdown-inspired career leap from architecture & construction. A performer and writer since I was little, this EP is my first attempt at recording and creating with others.”
8.- On Here’s to Hoping, the fourth album from Salt Lake City Americana outfit, The Hollering Pines, their sound expands beyond the countrified Americana of their previous records, bordering at times on roots-rock territory typical of artists like Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow, and even Fleetwood Mac. The album is proof of music’s magic still being found in the sound of bringing the right people together.
9.- Unleash your inner explorer and dance into the unknown with Thy Veils‘ genre-defying new album, where today’s sounds, tomorrow’s vibes, and timeless truths collide in a musical odyssey like no other. Only on Bandcamp.
As a bonus you can also take a look at the two track EP by Elizabeth & Jameson “The Old Twon EP“.
