Packetloss deals with time passing on new song “Timed Out”

Irish rockers Packetloss have returned with poweful new single “Timed Out”, after the success of their previous EPs Disconnected and MODERN DAY Meltdown from last year. The band comes swinging with a true rock and roll banger, filled with distorted guitars and the same impeccable sense of urgency that permeated their previous work; and this time they sound more melodic than ever before, channeling 90s rock at its finest moment.

The way Packetloss has always managed to merge together all of their punk influences together into its own sentient being feels bigger this time, sounding like a train rummaging through a small town.

“Timed Out” was written from a very interesting perspective and deals heavily with the passing of time, the urge to seize the day and live life to its fullest potential – especially amidst war time.

The band really pushed themselves on this track, cementing the war imagery as a way of reminding the listener that time is running out and everything may be over tomorrow – so, live boldly and do it today.

Packetloss is quickly making a name for themselves in the rock world, crafting something that sounds and feels incredibly human, honest and packs one hell of a punch each and every time.

After two stunning EPs “Timed Out” sounds bulkier and somewhat heavier and it’s a very welcomed thing for the band, who continues to evolve themselves and their soundscape into new heights. What they came up with on this single is sharp and abrasive, and it feels like they finally achieved their true vision for what this band could sound like – and it is absolutely wonderful to hear it.
