Formed in 2018, NIGHT WHIP was created as a side project of Grand Junction Colorado’s Alt Punk phenomenon Bronco Country. Guitarist Griff Chiono and bassist Colin Keefe constructed a unique musical project inspired by the American west.

Their upcoming musical oddity, the self-titled “NIGHT WHIP”, is a hypnotic junction of psychedelia, stoner, sludge and western rock melodies. It’s not Ennio Morricone but it definitely slaps!
In a style that could be described as “heavy western”, NIGHT WHIP reflects the isolation felt in small desert cities using distorted baritone guitar, hard-hitting drums, trippy electronics, and eerie layered vocals.
A mix like this has never been seen before. It’s like Kyuss meets Queens Of The Stone Age meets Red Fang meets Sleep… It is absolutely nuts. A crazy musical journey of different sections that feel like being in a movie. Drama, tension, chaos, and relief. Like living Fear and Loading in Las Vegas!
A long story told, an epic execution. Brilliant in its own way. Scary at times, disturbing even! But ultimately a great soundtrack for your mushroom trip. Matt Zurek, lead vocalist of Bronco Country, added in additional odd vocals (heard in the subliminal pitch shifted section, evil cackling , and psychedelic gnome sounds)… Well, maybe not to soothing for a mushroom trip, but anyways…
