Debbie Christ is the musical outlet for multi-instrumentalist Clara O’Page. Raised in a musically rich church environment, O’ Page has been making music since she was just a child inspired by artists like Hanson, Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Sublime, and The Smashing Pumpkins.
Debuting in 2024 with her album “Tower”, a deeply personal work born from a period of adversity, O’ Page showcased how music can help us fight our inner struggles.
“I was in an abusive situation and had lost my voice, both literally and figuratively,” she explains. “Creating Debbie Christ was part of my healing and reclaiming my power.”

In this new release, Debbie Christ opens up once again to share one of her biggest fears. Exploring her avoidant tendencies in relationships, the single captures the vulnerability of past heartbreaks while embracing the courage to face one’s fears.
Merging early surf rock with 1990’s rock elements similar to acts like The Pixies or even Type O’ Negative, “I’m Afraid of Love” offers a relatable, dark, and charming essence. It’s classic sound takes us back in time to a bygone era missed by many of us.
O’ Pages’ voice is deep and personal, embracing vulnerability and sharing her deepest truths. Such an act of courage cannot go unnoticed, and the song will resonate within the hearts of so many others.
“Debbie Christ is outspoken and says what she’s feeling, no matter how vulnerable or raw,” says O’Page. “She’s my outlet for not going crazy in this world.”
Debbie Christ is currently working on her next album, Nice Girl, which is set to be an exploration of rage, injustice, and societal expectations placed on women. “Tower was about my internal struggles. Nice Girl is about fighting back.”
