Hailing from Padova Italy, Mark SoulDaemon is a musician with a love for Death Metal music. Inspired by bands like Death, Morbid Angel, Bathory, and Manowar, he takes an experimental approach to infuse his signature style into his music.
Dedicated to push musical boundaries, the musician worked with Oph Serpent on drums and Raffaele of Alzhagoth on keyboards, to create a unique blend of experimental death metal in this new single.
“Remembrance Of My Soul” stands out with its unique take on the Death Metal genre. Gloomy and obscure, it presents a bass composition supported by driving drums and a bed of church-inspired keys.
The keys really accent the metal vibe, bringing us back to bands like Black Sabbath or King Diamond to name a few. Drums are groovy and leave space for the bass to shine.
The bass playing is excellent, with a great tone and beautiful chords and melodies. The single starts with only one bass, and as the intensity grows, the second one appears, perfectly complementing each other.
“This track is actually the fusion of two bass tracks from SoulDæmon and Remembrances; Desolation of, which I had only written for bass several years ago and recorded in two different demos.” – SoulDaemon
The artist aimed to deliver an atmosphere that takes the listener on a journey. Shades of grey fog and bittersweet memories pass you as you walk along an endless plain.
Truly obscure and magical, “Remembrance Of My Soul” brings a unique and even poetic essence that is rarely seen. With this track, SoulDaemon parts from his usual old school Death Metal composition, showcasing his versatility and love for the genre.
