Vie Jester has established itself since 2013, boasting five impressive EP releases. Having played together since childhood, they’ve cultivated a strong local following across Southern California. Initially inspired by legendary bands like Tool and Soundgarden, they have confidently carved out their own distinctive rock style.
This 5th EP showcases a powerful collection of covers from iconic bands, including A Perfect Circle, Godsmack, and Incubus, as well as Hanz Zimmer’s stunning Dune soundtrack, all crafted with meticulous attention to detail that truly preserves the exceptional qualities of the originals.
Covering Godsmack’s original title “Whatever,” Vie Jester delivers a version of the track that matches the fierce intensity of the original, with vocal qualities that demonstrate the singer’s undeniable mastery over his sound. The EP also features A Perfect Circle’s “The Outsider,” definitely a challenging song to cover, yet the band executed it flawlessly, capturing the iconic guitar melodies and Maynard’s extraordinary vocal prowess.
