This unapologetic duo has barely crossed paths since they unleashed their musical project, yet that hasn’t stopped them from crafting earth-shattering, Metal-infused anthems. Recording in three different states across the US, the boys in Devil trust each other’s instincts, conjuring their raw, electrifying sound into existence.
DEVIL is the sound of defiance carved into distortion. Two battle-scarred senior citizens conjure chaos by unleashing riffs that bleed angst and vocals that cut like broken glass.
In “Witch Hazel”, the band unleashes a relentless, high-octane Metal anthem that hits like a freight train, demolishing everything in its wake. Ferocious, volatile, and unyielding, the wild guitar riffs and turbulent drums forge an unstoppable foundation for the frantic vocals to thrive in.
Inspired by witch lore, the track portrays the brutality of witch hunt, the bloody affair of pursuit, and the fiery omen of the stake. It is a metal act pure and true, using raw vocabulary to demonstrate the brutality of human acts. A collision between madness and craft.
I (Jeff – instruments, music) came up with the main riff while noticing a bottle of witch hazel my girlfriend had in our bathroom. I used “Witch Hazel” as a working title, and when I sent the music to my Devil partner (Brian – vocals, lyrics), he liked the name enough to use it as inspiration for the lyrics.
Witch Hazel is taken from Devil’s latest album, All Hail the Beast, a savage barrage of 14 relentless tracks that will take your breath away and leave you in silence.
