Since 2013, LeBarons have stood as an independent collective of remarkable musicians. “When Chris came to the band with the outline of Running River, it immediately felt like something special. For many of our other songs, when Chris brings them to the band, we always seem to try to inject some extra energy – more speed, more volume, heavier, faster, louder.
But when we started putting this one together we all seem to know that this one needed a different approach. Subtle, gentle, and focused very much on the mood. We kept slowing the tempo to find the right balance of motion and melancholy.” – LeBarons
