Making a third appearance at our blog after their single Trembling Bones and their debut EP Go Easy On My Heart, Norwegian rock band Electric High returns once again with their new single “F⚡️RE!“. A hard rock, energy filled track that is not afraid of going all out.
Electric High’s members are PV Staff and Olav Iversen on the lead vocals, Marius Mørch on the guitar, Einride Torvik on bass and Tor Bjarne Bjelland on drums. Influenced by bands such as Black Sabbath, Wolfmother and Aerosmith, Electric High’s sound is one based on electric, high voltage energy that never leaves the listener’s system once it enters through the ears. “FIRE!” is no exception to this style. The single was recorded in Solslottet Studios in Bergen, Norway by producer Iver Sandøy.

“FIRE!”‘s history began thirty years ago with a guitar riff that was usually played by Ein Torvik in soundchecks. Realizing the potential of that riff, the band took it as a base and began working on what we can now hear today. The single carries within itself an early 90’s hard rock feel reminiscent of bands such as Faith No More or The Beastie Boys; rap verses and an anthem like chorus that incites us to let all of our energy outside. Contrary to the band’s previous single “Trembling Bones”, “FIRE!” begins right away with a blast. If “Trembling Bones” is the hangover, “FIRE!” is the party that caused it. It is a spontaneous combustion of sound and energy. Loud and heavy guitars and drums dominate the track, while the vocals transmit the sensation of feeling the fire burning right in our bones, as if we were right in the middle of a giant funeral pyre.
Electric High has proven once again of their capabilites and cemented their style with “FIRE!”. It is a single that is worth a listen! If you enjoyed it, make sure to listen to their previous work and read our related reviews !
