Hey guys! We’re back at it again with more fantastic music releases. Today we have a pretty cool single delivered to us by this 5-piece Electronic Rock and Roll band “Holy Youth Movement”. These Bristol-based guys have a noticeable love for Rock bands like the Stooges, Primal Scream, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, but they’re also huge fans of Dance Music and artists like The Chemical Brothers & Underworld.
This combination of genres has led to the creation of one of the most exciting sounds I’ve heard in a while. If you’re fans of bands like Soulwax or Kasabian, I promise you’re going to love this single. It explodes with heavy rhythms and cool guitar sounds; bass, keyboards, and synths provide the electronic mood, and soaring vocals finish to glue everything together.
The track was produced by legendary producer Jagz Kooner, who has worked with the likes of Primal Scream, Kasabian, Oasis as well as a host of Dance luminairies such as Andrew Weatherall, The Sabres
Of Paradise & Soulwax! Jagz was instantly hooked after listening to the band’s demos, and was amazed after seeing them rehearse.
He commented that they were one of the best live bands he’d ever seen and said the music was the perfect amalgamation of what he best described as “Electronic Rock n Roll”.
The song is an ode to the information delivered by the digital gods. A perfect danceable track fit for a savage party or a big stadium arena. A fusion that excites, refreshens, and delights the listener with loads of energy and adrenaline.
Holy Youth Movement will be playing live at The Isle Of Wight Festival on 17th June before embarking on
a string of dates including supporting The Utopiates in July.
