Deleo is a French band who met each other in a Radiohead show in the “Arènes de Nîmes”. Emilie (vocals), Denis (guitar & keyboards) and Félicien (bass) came together to perform an evolving sound inspired by New-Wave and Post-Punk bands like Depeche Mode, The Cure, Placebo, Radiohead, and The Smile.
“You Feel” is a track where afore mentioned inspirations are very palpable. The dancing beat, the tight drums, the silky bass, the rhythmic guitars and the exciting vocals join together as one as we are left with a track that energizes our senses and throws us into ecstasy.
All of the instruments come together and serve purpose to the well-thought composition. It is exciting, dynamic, and incredibly grooving. Some people have given praise to their unexpected aesthetic, and I stand in line with them. French musicians doing a great job, once again!
This is the second single from the album “The Best is Yet to Be”, following “Satellite,” released in June. The album is set to be released January 27, 2023. Musicians Emilie Clément, Denis Navarro, Felicien Bousquet and Benjamin Marmier further the story from “Satellite” in “You Feel,” deliberately linking the two most “pop” singles of the album, in an assumed way.
