This is a massive-sounding track recorded at a studio that used to be a church. “Save Me”delivers a powerful scream toward those in power who could easily make life easier for us, but choose not to.
¡Out Now!
What’s going on, ladies and gentlemen? Welcome back! It is your boy, MadZen, and today we will shout out in a plea for salvation towards the magnanimity of our wicked leaders. Does that sound too harsh? Anyways! This is an Indie Prog Rock track that slowly develops into a huge wall of sound of rich sonic textures. Let’s get to it!

Crux is a four-piece from Newcastle, UK who have already gained recognition for their outstanding talent and humane essence; as an Indie Prog Rock band that explores real-life global and local issues. They have already headlined venues such as the Engine Room, The Globe, Little Buildings, HMV Newcastle, and o2 Academy2 Newcastle; played in local festivals such as Scoop Festival, Afterlight Music Festival, and the Canny Fringe Festival; and have played gigs with upcoming artists such as India Arkin, Keiran Bowe, and Lizzie Esau.
“Save Me” is their brand new single of social commentary inspired by the English translation of Dies Irae, paraphrasing it in the verses, aiming to paint this picture of terrifying grandeur… Speaking of grandeur, this single sounds massive, no exaggeration here. Recorded at The Nave Studios in Leeds, Crux and their team really captured that big feeling of space thanks to the natural reverb of what used to be a church.
An amazing instrumentation of electric guitars, powerful drums, big round bass, and overlaid vocals achieve an outstanding sonic force that keeps building up and blowing us away by the minute. The high-reaching vocals and the overall feeling of desperation really make “Save Me” a sight to see… or hear. You know what I mean!
What a wonderful delivery and we hope to continue to listen to more of this British band in the upcoming days. If you enjoy the track please be sure to leave a like on their social media and give them a follow in the links below. That’s it from me guys, see you at the next one!
