Mad Painter epic new track “Rock And Roll Samurai”

This track had me smiling like an idiot for 4:37 minutes. “Rock And Roll Samurai” by Mad Painter is a super fun track delivered in a very entertaining way.

“The backstory to Samurai, it is a heavy, brooding number, but also fairly fast-paced. My friend Dmitry Epstein wrote the lyrics for someone else initially, but they wound up on the shelf, so I took this opportunity to put them to music.” Alex Gitlin / Mad Painter

What’s going on ladies and gentlemen, welcome back! It’s your rock and roll boy, MadZen, and today I’m very glad to announce the release of this amazing single on Youtube. Brought to us by one of the coolest bands I’ve ever seen on this blog, this track fights for honor against the most dangerous perils and wins. Let’s get to it!

Mad Painter is now one of my favorite bands. A new band from the Boston area, inspired by the psychedelic rock music of the 70’s. Led by Alex Gitlin, this group gathers true veterans of the Boston rock scene like drummer Al Hendry (Bubba Loaf, Tokyo Tramps), bassist Kenne Highland (ex-Gizmos, Hopelessly Obscure, Johnny & The Jumper Cables, Africa Corps.) and the newest addition being guitarist Al Naha (Thighscrapers), who plays with Kenne in Kenne Highland Airforce.

“The song came in stages, the arpeggiated intro, the main parts, the verses, the chorus, the vocal backups, the middle part, and finally the drum solo, which features cowbell. I think the whole thing got stitched up pretty quickly and quite harmoniously.” Alex Gitlin / Mad Painter

I don’t know which one’s cooler, their music, or their outfit. Seemingly taken out from another era, these gentlemen know how to rock in style. “Rock And Roll Samurai” is a Rock track of epic proportions, with big-sounding melodies and a pace that feels as if we’re going into battle with a freaking army of dragons, against the dark forces of some evil demon. It’s pretty cool.

What people should expect from our music is loud and rambunctious rock and roll, we wear our influences on our sleeves. Our records and live shows are a time capsule experience, we like to create an illusion that you’ve been transported back in time fifty years.” – Alex Gitlin Mad Painter

This is also their second single preceding their upcoming album titled, “Splashed”. So if you’re in need of a timeless classic and to feel as if you’ve been transported 50 years in the past, check Mad Painter out right now, you won’t regret it.
