MAL’s brilliant “Come To Light”

Just as if Soundgarden and Jane’s Addiction made a song together, this single hits with power and brutality that ignites every engine and shines a light over all of us. “Come To Light” is frenzy, chaotic, and pure Grunge-meets-Rock bliss.

What’s going on ladies and gentlemen, welcome back! It’s your boy, MadZen, and today I’m super stoked about today’s single. A brilliant, exciting, raw, and melodic tune that will exhilarate your senses. Brought to us by this California-based trio, this song is a reminder that we can break any limitation. Let’s get to it!

Come To Light is about breaking any mold set upon a person, whether self-captured or by outside forces, and breaking through, braving through, and seeing the light of one’s own beautiful individual nature.

MAL is an Alternative Rock Trio from Van Nuys, California. Inspired by high-gained Rock bands such as Jane’s Addiction, Failure, Pink Floyd, Deftones, and Black Sabbath, these guys know their riffs, their grittiness, and their passion. Class is in session, here come the teachers. You will listen to a variety of great guitar/bass tones, slamming beats, and gritty vocals. Rock and Roll for daysssss….

“Come To Light” is a force of nature. A powerful and inspiring track born out of the dreadful lockdowns in LA, where bands couldn’t do what they were born to do anymore: perform live and rock crowds. This tragic setback inspired the single, which is about recapturing one’s self and re-awakening creative sparks in the midst of these dark times.

The band themselves lost loved ones for a variety of reasons during the lockdown, which is why you can hear the passion in every note, drum hit, and lyric. What a song, what a vibe. Very much needed in these hollow-music times. So you better hit that pre-save and… come to light!

MAL is Peter Hollywood, Bass (Studio Musician, engineer, and formerly of bands Ding Mao and Vermiscious Kanids), Kris Jung, Vocals/ Guitar(Formerly of Black Cast and Radio Free America), and Brendan Reynolds, Drums (formerly of Flowbis and Boy Hits Car).
