What’s going on everybody, welcome back! It’s your boy MadZen and today I’m very glad to present to you such a great album. Moving us to a different era, Suburban Bicycle Gang delights us with a wildly entertaining musical journey filled with organic Rock and Roll tracks, and a good dose of sense of humor.
SBC is an indie rock sensation hailing from Cambridge, Ontario. A trio of talented musicians who like to blend humor with old-school rock and roll. Together, they’ve created this quirky masterpiece of an offbeat and comedic nature, perfect for any Rock fan out there looking for a good dose of nostalgia.
This album is a testament to the band’s ability to seamlessly blend humor with musical prowess. Each song invites listeners into a world of off-the-wall creativity, where the unexpected becomes the norm.
You will listen to tracks like “In The Cosmos”, “Lake Skugog”, and the hilarious “Bobo The Hobo”. I will admit that after reading the pitch of these humorous gentlemen, I never imagined I’d be listening to such a mature and unique sound, rounded up by quick and witty, comedic lyricism. It is, truly, a sight to see.
Every track shares a little bit of similarity, giving congruence to the album, but still, each song comes with its unique magical spin, unique color, and stories that tickle different parts of the laughing brain. The psychedelic bits are truly delightful, just like in tracks like “Easy Money” (a track with clear The Doors influences) or Candle Light, with its beautiful flute melodies.
All in all, the album is an excellent showcase of musicianship. An old-school meets modern approach to Rock and Roll and a throwback to past eras that fill us with joy and nostalgia. So, listen now!
