DISCOVERED VIA MUSOSOUP

.- No stranger to the LT1KF blog, Ellery Twining is a household name around here and in many eclectic circles with an equally eclectic sound he’s developed in the realm of the post-Pop genre (AKA “avant-garde,” “no wave,” and “ambient.”)You can keep reading our review here.

.- With their upcoming debut album, “When Sunshine Departs,” The Tiger Moths, the five-piece indie rock band from London with Americana influences manages to make a mark. The record offers a unique viewpoint on the Americana genre by taking influence from the folk-rock and country-rock cultures of the late ’60s and early ’70s. It has alt-country guitar lines, jazz-infused piano melodies, and a thundering rhythm sectionYou can read our review here.

.- Rockethead, a hard rock band hailing from Paris, consisting of Hélio Rundstadler on vocals and backing vocals, Enguérand Tamagna on lead guitar, Dewez on rhythm guitar and vocals, and Laurent Lucchini on bass and backing vocals, and Big Love on drums and harmonica, has unleashed their latest EP titled “Crash Test,” and it’s a true testament to the timeless energy and power of classic hard rock. 4.- James PercivalGlasnost” in his own words: “is an experimental indie rock album that seeks to push the norms of popular music in as many directions as possible. It merges genres such as Baroque with jazz and rap, but also alternative rock with Indian classical elements, as well as challenging rhythmic possibilities through complex, sometimes phasing, irregular meters.”

.- James Laurent in his own words: “My Debut EP “Icarus” is my treasure. Three years in the making, hundreds of songs made and thrown away. Headlining shows and shows played to empty rooms, I have had it all and fallen from grace. This EP is me picking up the pieces and continuing on with my art. I am a 23-year-old Musician and Audio Engineer with credits for Nelly, Smokepurpp, A$AP, and many other large industry names, and it is my time to step out from behind the scenes.”

.- AnnaOtta‘s characteristic sound comes from their heavy use of vocal sampling, looping, and live processing, combined with the use of custom-made digital synthesizers built from samples of their voices. Their songs range from humorous vocal experiments to blissful dream-pop-like singing, to melancholic ambient atmospheres. Their creative process, with a strong focus on improvisation, fueled by their many years of combined experience in jazz, pop, and world music, keeps their music fresh, fragile, and unusual yet surprisingly familiar.

.- MarK Docherty Written & recorded during a tumultuous period in Mark’s life his debut album Reckless Abandon faces head-on a relocation, a global pandemic, and a reckoning with his own negative self-image. The 12 impactful songs range in styles from the hard-hitting rock of ‘Scab’ to the soft Beck-like ‘Bourbon Tangerine’ the album has a firm foundation in alternative rock reminiscent of The White Stripes and Nick Cave.

.- Sam Dillon AKA Hirehorse in his own words “My new album ‘Yolking’ is an exploration of a full band sound, with simple songwriting and lush arrangements showcasing influence from Americana, folk rock, slowcore, lounge, and Latin music.

.- Maria Keck in her own words: “The Gardener & Me” is my debut album and it means the world to me. It isn’t a concept album, but it does have a strong thread of nature, spirituality, and sensuality that weaves its way lyrically throughout. As a classically trained flute player, songwriting is relatively new to me. Four years ago, I never would have guessed I’d be playing all over the region and releasing a folktronica, flute-loop, nature-inspired album all my own. The album is cohesive, yet packed with musical variety. Each song paints a picture of a moment in time, a feeling.

Also worth to take a listen to Valfreyja‘s self-titled debut album, if you are into modern metal music.
