Steve Young has been releasing music since 2014. Having toured with Savage Garden frontman Darren Hayes, and performed on TV with Lionel Richie, Peter Andre, and many other pop stars of the time, the UK British musician has seen a lot of support from different radio stations, as well as a good amount of live performances around London.
“Looks Like You” is his most recent release, and it comes with a very Nashville-inspired sound and style. It’s funny because when I first heard the track I was convinced this man was an American! His music style, chord progressions, and country-like melodies surely seem taken out from the very roots of American Country music.
The single departs from Young’s previous albums, which are of a more introspective, emotional, and heartfelt nature. This track presents a more joyful approach to life, seeking out a partner in a positive mindset. A classic structure of intro, verse, and chorus, makes the foundation of the track, as it slowly develops with new and captivating sounds and colors. Like a Rhodes piano, and even a guitar solo.
