Mexican artist, MadZen, celebrates Dia De Muertos with his new single “De La Mar”. An Organic Downtempo track with Latin influences and poetic lyricism.

MadZen keeps looking to expand his musical horizons, and this time he dived deep into Latin genres such as Cumbia Villera and Psychedelic Cumbia, embracing his Latin roots, and taking a turn from his previous releases which are more Middle Eastern inspired.
“De La Mar” means “Of the sea” in Spanish.
“De La Mar” is a slow-paced track with organic elements such as acordeón, violins, as well as Latin percussion. It comes with a hypnotic vibe, almost like a soft spell that slowly develops into a wonderful dance of colors, sounds, and traditions. Its Spanish lyrics, sung by MadZen’s soft vocals, describe some kind of romance, but it is not clear if it’s a romance between lovers or the love that the artist has for the sea. Either option is valid, and it is a choice the artist leaves to the listener.
The track also comes with a special sample of Jaime Sabines, the famous Mexican poet, as he narrates a fragment of one of his most popular poems Los Amorosos, or The Lovers.
“De La Mar”, will be released by the Mexican label, Ixitia Records, in an EP format that includes two remixes of two great Mexican producers, White Flamingo, and Púrpura. So let yourselves be hypnotized by the mysterious rhythms of the sea, and
