New York based producer, RPKprincess makes a great debut with “crybaby”. A dark, synth-wave inspired track that fuses genres like Lo-Fi, Pop, Alt-Rock, and Electronica. Out now!
Bella Flowers, AKA RPKprincess, is dipping her toes in the music industry with her own new project. With an authentic vibe, she writes about her personal feelings with a captivating openness to which many people could definitely relate. Angsty, and a bit obscure, this artist would perfectly fit for any Industrial Pop followers.
“crybaby”, as mentioned above, talks about Bella’s own feelings, mostly of a self-destructive nature. Kind of like a musical diary that exposes every thought, in the flesh. Musically is a simple narrative, but still interesting enough as the “girly” melodies and ambiences clash with the dark, thought-provoking lyrics.
“I was working as an audio engineer to a Grammy-award winning producer downtown and secretly made the whole song in his studio while he was in LA.” – RPKprincess
A mean kick, powerful bass, crisp synths, and gnarly guitars create a mysterious (and kinda heavy) ambience where PRKprincess’ vocals can shine through. Talking about vocals, they are heavily processed, adding that synthetic feel to the track that adds a cohesive layer to the whole song.
“Guitar comes in on the chorus, I ran a strat (guitar) through a Chandler TG Microphone Cassette and boosted the treble. I liked the crunch and I hope you do too.“
Already successful, the single has reached many ears thanks to Spotify playlists placements. With two more songs in the way, this producer ain’t messing around, and we will definitely love to see her back on the blog. In the meantime, listen now!
