Memphis Stone and The Elevators – “Serious”

The comic book heroes of Funk are getting “Serious” in their brand new single. This track is a super fun, retro feeling, Motown inspired, Rock & Roll tune that will make you wanna dance your a$$ off.

That’s it, our UK friends leaded by the legendary singer Memphis Stone are back at it again with their 5th single up to date. We covered their previous releases: Say Goodbye, Higher and Summer, which we completely recommend you check out if you haven’t.

This time, the band takes us on a trip to the bast with the hammond infused melodies and the big chanting choruses. The mix of drum and bass make the song an energetic, thrilling experience of suspense and action. The band complements each other so well that there’s never a moment where you don’t feel shocked by their powerful playing.

It’s serious funk for the soul, and Stone’s verses finish to polish the already neat instrumentation. Explosive and evolving, flooded with a wall of sound of vocals and brass section, “Serious” has a way to chill the bones and move the feet like a motherf***er.

The band plans to release their debut album this 2022 in June/July. Exact date TBA. And after a long time of remaining in-doors, the guys are finally ready to go out and begin playing live. Also, after their success of their previous single: Summer (which proceeds were donated to mental health charity Make It Blue), the band is planning to do another charity collaboration with a well-known UK sporting figure later in the year.

Memphis Stone And The Elevators deliver a unique and powerful Rock energy that is rarely seen today and that’s why they deserve all your love and support. Recording was once again completed under the guidance of producer Steve “Smiley” Barnard (The Alarm, Archive, Joe Strummer, Robbie Williams) at Sunshine Corner in Fleet.
