I hope you’re doing well and having a great weekend, thank you for been here, I have really cool stuff for you all from all over the world and I’m sure you’re going to find music here that is going to give you a lot to feel, remember to share it with the ones you care the most.

August is just around the corner and you can find the “Upcoming Music” that we already have for you on the website, so don’t forget to take a look and pre-save them all if you enjoy them, we have some of them with pre-orders on Bandcamp, this is an excellent way to help and support these artists, if you enjoy their art and one way you can show them some love is buying their work, I’m sure they’re going to appreciate it.

Let’s waist no more time and let’s go with the artists of this week!!!

Remember that most of these albums are recently released (and important to say that you always can take a look back at our previous week recommendations I Am The Unicorn Head, Michael Kiel Cash, gldn, and more…, for the whole 2022 or 2021).

ALL ALBUMS/EPS SUBMITTED AND DISCOVERED VIA MUSOSOUP

1.- Sand and Foam: Music Inspired by Kahlil Gibran Speaking about how the idea of the album was born Amaan Ali Bangash says, “As Gibran says, ‘music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife.’ It’s with that very ethos that we have created this album. We are ever so grateful to all of the amazing artists who have teamed up with us on this very memorable album. A first for us in this genre.” You can read our review here.

2.- Normal Tension by Jackson Vincent It’s a vulnerable release, exposing the inner world of a man who’s had to pick up the pieces and heal himself after a rough breakup. There are dreams, hopes and fears, all lined up in the ghostly broadcast from the depths of the artist’s soul. Absolutely worth a listen. You can read our review here.

3.-Running With Scissors by  Dark Soul Safari. This EP is very unique. The mix between soft and happy melodies with the serious and ironic lyrics is just fantastic and just a bit odd-feeling. But trust me, you’ll be amazed. It is actually really good, and really poetic. You can read our review here.

4.- Lords Of Apricity The self-titled debut EP deftly reconfigures the classic rock topography with paunchy riffs, consuming melodies, evocative swatches of blues and psychedelia, and progressive-minded songwriting. You need go give it a listen to right away!!!

5.-  RetroAct is a Jerusalem rock band of three childhood friends (24 years old) who decided to create music together. With dreams of the past, the band aims to bring back the grunge rock culture of the 90s. And this is their debut album titled mark it zero.

6.- Heavily influenced by French House, Matthew Jameson recorded This Side Down in his home studio between March and May of 2022. Focused on distortion and repetition, it’s a deep album that flaunts the best qualities of his discography.

However, unlike his previous work, this album does not feature an overarching concept, acting more as a passion project in homage to the genre. Daft Punk’s split was something of a driving force that inspired Matthew to even delve into the genre, as the duo have always been one of Matthew’s favourite acts.

7.-  Jennifer Alvarado Songbird: Part One is the first of a two-part project that illustrates the journey of enduring and healing from a toxic situation. The EP contains Alvarado’s hit song, “Curious” as well as her latest single, “Rock This Way” that was released in June. You can read our review here.

8- Nightly Gatherings in hi own words about this EP Accepted: “This is my first original release after my official remix for Slow Magic. This EP bridges the gap between my previous organic fueled music and my future fully electronic music. Some of these track’s have been in the works for over a year and feature my vocals on every track.”

9.- Jade Lauriani in her own words about here EP: “Wild Winds” symbolizes a season of lust confuse as love. Often, we may put ourselves in these situations because feelings get involve, same story we’ve heard a million times just a different view.

Last but not least a great EP. First new release in 10 years! These were recorded for an aborted album – one is a Sonic Youth rip-off, the other is an MBV parody. Third is a drone. Seems a good time to let them out as a full LP of all new stuff is coming in the autumn/fall. Give it a full ‘MOO’ y’all! Crunch by cowman that is the musician and academic Ben J. Heal, who splits his time between London and Taiwan.
