Gary Dranow, the man behind featured singles here on the blog like Destiny Road and Sandy Beaches (part of his upcoming album “Never Give Up), has decided to step away from his usual Blues Rock / Hard Rock genres to begin a new adventure in the electronic music scene. Starting to learn how to DJ, the artist found out that most EDM songs follow a similar format. So, with the help of long-time collaborator Chris Zoupa, and their new producer Producer Loius Dupont, Astralix was born!
“The Rhythm Fills My Soul” is the lead single off their upcoming EDM album, and you might think: “What is a Blues Rock musician making EDM for?”, well that’s the beauty of being a musician nowadays, the capacity to jump between genres and exploring new horizons. In Dranows’s words: “I wrote a make for these songs, wrote an idea on acoustic guitar, and then presented it to Chris. He loved the idea of making music so far from our wheelhouse. The first song we wrote in this style is “The Rhythm Fills My Soul” by our hired female singer Malena.“
The track, as mentioned above, features the lovely vocals of Malena, tightly enclosed inside a festival-type beat. Bright synths, grooving bass and a powerful kick are the main elements of the song, as you might expect from the genre. “The Rhythm Fills My Soul” project is a celebration of youth, fun, carefree lifestyle, and of course dance.
Taking a big leap from their usual songwriting style, these guys are challenging themselves in a daring effort and we wish them all the best. So, go ahead and listen now!
