“Dreams” is an incredible example of exactly how smart De Antiquis Et Novis is when composing and producing his music, and another excellent teaser from his upcoming dance-inspired album.

This is 9Albums/EPs You Should Liste To Week 24, every week I pick 9 albums/EPs recently released by unknown artists that I share with you, I enjoyed all, so I want to invite you to give the a chance and listen to them. The album of the week is for Ellery Twining with “RESULTS”

9 o’clock Nasty or The Nasty Unicorns, or at least that’s what I call them, have returned. Earth’s most beloved musical team has paired up once again in an amazing feat of dexterity, musical prowess, and bizarre charm. Their new collaboration is not what we wanted… but what we deserved.

“Combien” by La Biche is about exhaustion in a relationship, of trying to build a castle out of rubble. What more or how much is there to do? What if we never get what we really strive for?

The Dublin-Chicago band DUO DECAD is a truly international band that has so far never made music in the same room. Behind the name are vocalist and producer Emmet McCaughey and vocalist-guitarist Mark Casey, as well as the honorary member and mix-engineer Andy Gallas, who’s based in North Carolina.

“Lipstick On a Glass” by Serena is a flawless alternative pop song, that plays along with different elements to make it and keep it interesting – but, at its heart, is a simple enough fearless pop structure. Absolute perfection.

“Firefly” is the fourth song coming from Powers of the Monk, follows a mentally very unsound person. The uneasy tale, surrounded by a gloomy atmosphere reminiscent of Pink Floyd and other classics, was born when the artist sat outside looking at the fireflies and noticed certain patterns in their twinkling.

“See Your Face Again” by The Marsh Family hits all the right notes of vulnerability, hopefulness, and wishful thinking without ever ending in clichés. It’s a lovely folk ballad, bursting with heart and positivity. And the change in pace and tempo at the end? Come on, Régine Chassagne would be so proud.

The Tiger Moths have crafted an impressive debut, solidifying their place with their fresh take on indie rock rooted in rock tradition.

“Goesting” by Ruud Voesten is a glimpse into the upcoming full record, Ambrosia, scheduled for release on ZenneZ Records in September 2023.

“Doomsday” by The Trusted irradiates a powerfully magnetic presence, probably thanks to the grittiness embedded in every instrument. Guitars, drums, bass, and even the vocals.

The production on “Give It All Away” by Garland Kelley blends 80s-inspired rock music with indie blues, with a dash of modern-day. It sounds feral and thoughtful and there’s a mix of feelings, both melancholia and a sense of urgency throughout the track.

“Found My Way Here” by Rachel Davie Lee, diary-like lyrics with great depth are sung by a tender yet powerful voice full of mature wisdom. Even as a very personal inward-gazing song, it makes listeners with similar inner struggles feel at ease about their journey.

Rewind by LTB is a masterclass in minimal production, there are very few elements, but everything goes so well together it’s astounding.

“Crash Test” is expertly produced by Rockethead themselves, and the EP’s mixing is handled by Mannaz Records. The EP encapsulates the true essence of classic hard rock, showcasing the band’s skill and passion for the genre. Rockethead’s collective talent, with each member making significant contributions, shines through each track, making this a must-listen for any…

Ellery Twining beings the album “Results” with a strong sentiment, the track “The Sixth of January.” His poetic musings do not shy away from the current landscapes of societal disarrays nor the correlations between them and his own personal reflections and memories.

This is a very cool single that defies any conception you have about Rock and Roll and where it comes from. The French guys of FOLSOM love Rock and Roll, and with their recent releases, including Old Pop’s Truck, they mean business.
